This policy explains what information the letsmeditate app (“the App”, “we”, “us”) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account details: your email address and password. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are never visible to us.
- Profile: your display name, initials, optional bio, and the intentions you choose (for example Gratitude or Grounding).
- Activity: sessions you book or join, how long you stay, and the hosts you meditate with. We use this for your stats, history and recommendations.
- Content: chat messages you send in session rooms.
- Device permissions: if you host a session, the App asks for microphone access so you can be heard. Listeners’ microphones are never turned on.
Live audio
Live sessions stream the host’s microphone to listeners in real time using our audio provider, LiveKit. We do not record sessions. Hosts can choose a silent sit and keep their microphone off.
How we use your information
- To create and run your account and sign you in.
- To show live and upcoming sessions, rooms and chat.
- To highlight sessions that match your intentions.
- To show your stats, history and the hosts you meditate with.
- To keep the community safe, including removing content that breaks our Terms.
- To maintain and improve the App.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We use trusted service providers to run the App:
- Supabase – database and sign-in.
- LiveKit – live audio streaming.
Your display name and the chat messages you send are visible to other members in the sessions you join. Hosts can see who is in their session.
Shopping links
Products in the Zen Shop are sold by partner merchants. When you tap “Buy”, you leave the App for the merchant’s website through an affiliate link. The merchant and the affiliate network may collect information under their own privacy policies, and we may earn a commission on purchases.
Your choices and rights
- Edit your profile and intentions at any time in the App.
- Delete your own chat messages in any session room.
- Ask us to access, correct or delete your account and data by emailing ben@letsmeditate.net.
Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California), you may have additional rights under local law. Contact us and we’ll help.
Retention and security
We keep your information while your account is active and delete it when you ask us to delete your account, unless we must keep something by law. Data is protected by access rules so members can only change their own information, and connections to our services are encrypted.
Children
The App is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we’ll remove it.
